I want to take a walk,
it's such a nice, sunny day
I'll put on my shoes
and be on my way.
Casually strolling down the sidewalk
I notice that today, the sun is extremely hot.
I quickly stop to take off my shoes
because my feet are sweating a lot.
When I do, I see on the bottom of my shoe
a tiny black dot.
I was minding my own business
just crawling along
I was going slowy,
to say I am fast is wrong.
Then I saw something impossible to miss,
a giant, evil foot looking for a kill.
No one pays attention to us ants
and I doubt they ever will.
I tried to stay clear, but I could not
and now all I am is a tiny black dot. I Am

Sprinklers in the yard on a hot summer day
A running faucet

Globs of spit
Spilt drinks running off the counter
Pine needles falling from a dying christmas tree Confetti
An opened bottle of clear nail polish turned upside down
Millions of skydivers parachuting down all at once
Penicl shavings being brushed off a desk
Blood dripping from a fresh cut
Rain, April 1st, 5:30 p.m., in the car Joanne Goes to the Zoo
Joanne and her dad
went to the zoo
She wore her favorite dress
and her nicest shoes
Joanne was getting impatient
while in the car
Her dad kept saying,
"Relax Joanne, we aren't very far."
They finally arrived
and Joanne was ready for a lot of fun
She quickly got out of the car
and broke into a run
She was so excited
her smile she just couldn't escape
she loved the lion, the tiger, the zebra,
the giraffe and the ape
Joannes father was glad
that she was having such a good time
he never expected a day at the zoo
to turn into a day of crime
It happened while he was talking
for a minute or two to the baker
He didn't even see the man
come right up and take her
He got so scared and yelled her name
over and over, he wouldn't stop
He was so disappointed
he never got to buy her a lollipop
In his wildest dreams
he never believed
that he could be
so easily decieved
He looked around
then saw a van
it was being loaded
with his little Joanne
He thought of how he could stop
this terrible attack
he couldn't live
without getting her back
All of a sudden
the van pulled
He sprinted towards his car
without any delay
He tried to keep up
but the van had soon lost him
he wondered how this day
could have become so grim
He got home and called the cops
hoping they would do some good
The told him they wouold try very hard
and do the absolute best they could
Anything about the zoo
was a terrible reminder
about how he had tried hard
but couldn't find her
the depression that he felt
was only getting bigger
so he decided to load up
and pull the trigger.
